Aquarium Water Within:

Aquarium Water Within Both adult water beetles and their larvae may be maintained in an aquarium water within. Both will carry on their normal activities freely. As they are vicious and voracious, they cannot be maintained with other aquarium water within inhabitants. Beetles need "balanced" aquarium water within (see Part II); use 2- to 5-gallon aquarium water within or aquarium water within jar. Cover bottom with 2 inches of clean aquarium water within sand; anchor 6 strands of common aquarium water within plants with a few clean rocks. Let water stand 24 hours; then drop adult beetle or larvae or both in habitat.

Use any type of aquarium water within jar or regular aquarium water within tank; choice depends on animals to be housed. A large aquarium water within should be placed on a small Table with rollers, so that it can be moved about at will. Cover bottom with 1% inches of bird gravel, aquarium water within sand, or tropical fish sand; wash thoroughly to free it from all dirt before using it; put in pan or buckets, run water through, and stir constantly until water runs clear.

Fill aquarium water within with water to within i inch of top; pour gently over saucer to break force and prevent stirring up sand and uprooting plants. Cover aquarium water within with glass and let stand for i week before introducing animals; this gives roots chance to take hold and allows water to become properly aerated and of room temperature. Always keep aquarium water within covered; this keeps water surface free of dust and oil, prevents fish from jumping out, keeps foreign objects from falling in, and prevents rapid evaporation of water.
