Build Outdoor Scenes: When preadolescents were given different types of play materials and told to construct an imaginary scene, boys used more blocks and vehicles; girls more furniture and family figures (69, 1951). Boys usually build outdoor scenes and girls house interiors (39, 1951). During adolescence boys and girls are in closer agreement as to preferred forms of of their dependence on their parents, they may become too subservient to their peer group—in a world apart.
Colored engravings. Made during the 19th century. Subjects: flowers, costumes, animals, portraits, historic scenes, and scenes of adventure. Often decorative and very inexpensive.
For Lighting interiors, minimum equipment consists of three or four photofloods and sufficient extension wire to enable you to take current from more than one circuit in the building, to avoid blowing fuses. No. 2 photoflood lamps in reflectors are most convenient to carry and to handle, but No. 4's are better for those cases where you want to include exterior views through the windows of interior shots, because they'll come nearer to balancing the brilliance of outdoor daylight.
