Cypress Gardens The most popular hedging cypress gardens, Chama.ecypa.ris lawsoniana (Lawson cypress gardens), has rather ferny, green foliage and will make good hedges up to 1 Oft high. It's quick-growing, hardy and tolerates most soils. There are numerous varieties of this cypress gardens, some with lighter green foliage, some blue-green and some golden, all suitable for hedges either by themselves or in mixtures.
