Different Techniques Suit:

Different Techniques Suit Every successful gardener needs to develop a repertoire of different techniques suit techniques to suit all occasions and needs. The pages that follow will help you do just that and will provide you with all the information you need. Keep them to hand for ease of reference in the future.

Cities are Spain's trump suit, in the competitive game of tourism, even more than castles. Aside from those two big, striving rivals of today, Madrid and Barcelona, each with about two million inhabitants, think what that suit contains: Seville, Granada, Valencia, Toledo, Avila, Salamanca, Segovia, Burgos, Cordoba, Leon, Santiago de Compostela—you need a 26-card suit, at least, and all trumps, to fill out your hand properly.

Eldest hand (player to the dealer's left) leads to the first trick, and the winner of each trick leads to the next. Each player in turn must follow suit if he can, otherwise any discard may be made; the trick is won by the highest card of the suit. Each heart taken in a trick adds one minus point to a player's score. Players try to avoid winning (being painted with) any hearts and thus keep their score low.
