Establish Boundaries Religious: At the same time the syllabus must not have as its object any 'design to convert pupils or to urge a particular religion or religious belief on pupils' (Education Act 1944 Sect 26(2)). It is natural to suggest that since we are seeking to establish boundaries religious the boundaries for religious education, the content of this part of the curriculum should be focused en religious practice and forms of expression: however, the situation is more complex.
Peoples of different cultural origins, language, religion, and general skills gathered in valleys to their liking and finally developed nations separate and distinct from their neighbors. The people found that they did not differ to any great degree in a physical way, but because their cultures were different they had to establish boundaries religious boundaries between their nations.
It is important that pupils experience the aesthetic qualities of the objects of their attention. Religious education is not a process of inducting pupils into particular frameworks for the experience of the spiritual but it is important that pupils, though they may not adhere to the particular beliefs under discussion, understand how they relate to a dimension in their own experience. Religious education gives some ideas of the boundaries to this area of experience and possibilities for discussion within it.Finally we addressed the question of the relationship between the moral and spiritual development of the pupil.
