Fresh Blue: The rich red Rayburn has dictated the room's colour scheme. A fresh blue has been teamed with it, while go-with-anything white units add freshness. The swish pebble-effect Floor has warm blue, grey and reddish notes mixed in it - a perfect match.
Blue can be a cold colour, but lighter tones are just right for creating a fresh, airy feel. Here, a deep turquoise has been used for the unit doors with a lighter blue painted on the walls. Mosaic tiles in matching tones with hints of green mixed in make a colourful, coordinated splashback.
This room has white walls and an off-white vinyl floor, creating a neutral, fresh backdrop. To stop it feeling drab or bleached out, two strips high up the Wall have been masked off then painted a cornflower blue. This makes the room feel wider and less like a corridor. The same blue is picked up in the tablecloth, while cheery cushions and accessories create little points of colour around the room.
