International Design Center:

International Design Center International Design Center to Open in South Florida Ideally located within the growth epicenter of Florida, the International Design Center will be opening this April. As America's newest and finest resource for interior design, the International Design Center is setting new standards for an industry long accustomed to the best. In a magnificent setting in the heart of booming Southwest Florida, the IDC is home to showrooms of fine furniture and accessories, fabrics, Wall coverings, lighting, kitchen and Bath products, flooring, art and antiques.

Residential and commercial interior designers and their clients enjoy an ease and sensibility of shopping unequalled anywhere, with both restricted and unrestricted showroom access. Manufacturers will discover an audience of virtually unparalleled affluence and buying power in tandem with the highest growth market in the United States. The beautiful neo-classical building of the International Design Center IDCFL is the centerpiece of a lushly landscaped 38 acre campus that will include a business-class hotel, office complex, and lakes. Located at the intersection of Interstate 75 and Corkscrew Road, just minutes from the booming Southwest Florida International Airport, the design center offers easy access to designers and clients from all parts of the state.

Every year local & International architects and interior designers presented their newest ideas to hundreds of their enthusiastic colleagues. Both speakers and audiences alike positively received the forum. From 2006, Contract+Design.aisa forum will extend to be a one-week program, 'Design Week 2006', which will comprise international forums and workshops, two exhibitions, design tour and other networking activities. The six-day event explores the mutual influence of design and material products from a global perspective. This year, a special focus will be placed on hospitality design and energy savings.
