Manufacturing Town: REICHENBACH, Saxony, 11 miles southwest of and in the circle of Zwickau, 11 miles northeast of Plauen, is a manufacturing town, trading considerably in woolen and cotton goods, and has a notable town hall. This was the home of the distinguished antiquary, Bot-tiger (q.v.). Pop. 30,802.
REICHENBERG. lik'Hen-berg, Czechoslovakia, town in Bohemia, on the Neisee, about 60 miles in direct line north-northeast of Prague (q.v.). It is a well-built town with several modern public buildings and a number of historic edifices dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries.
The locality was settled around 1770 and in 1848 was incorporated as the town of East Thomaston. It became the city of Rockland in 1854. Government is by city council and manager. Pop. 8,769.
ROCKLAND, town, Massachusetts, in Plymouth County, 18 miles south-southeast of Boston, on the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, and modern highways. It is at an altitude of 124 feet in a poultry and fruit farm area, and has manufactures of shoes, welts, and dyes, webbing, cotton buffs, and box shocks. Although a manufacturing town, it has pleasantly shaded streets and attractive homes.
Seafood production has amounted to less th; 10 million pounds a year, one of the main pro ucts being spiny lobsters, a major item of expc to the United States.
