Pressure Containers Liquefied: Liquefied petroleum gas (propane or butane) is often used where the home is not near a gas main. This gas is liquefied under moderate pressure, delivered to the home in special tank trucks, and stored in a large Pressure containers liquefied container. When released from the Pressure containers liquefied container for home use, the fluid returns to its gaseous state. A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) heating system operates with the same convenience and cleanliness as a natural gas system, but special safety precautions must be taken since this gas is heavier than air and may accumulate in low pockets if leaks occur in the fittings or burner controls.
Pressure containers liquefied containers for liquefied gas are to be so arranged in the holds as to provide a minimum clearance of not less than 610 mm (24 in.) from the vessel's side and not less than 380 mm (15 in.) from the vessel's bottom to provide access of inspection. Where more than one tank is installed, the distance between such tanks and between tanks and vessel's structure is to be adequate to permit access for.
Cargo Pressure containers liquefied containers intended for liquefied gases having service temperatures below —32C (—25F) are to be fabricated of material suitable for the lowest temperature to which the container may be subjected in its operating cycle and the impact properties as determined by test should meet the minimum Charpy V-notch values specified for the material at the lowest service temperature.
