Remarkable Feature Classical:

Remarkable Feature Classical The hallmarks of Greek art were precision in execution and wholly explicit representation, even where the intended symbolism was elusive.A remarkable feature classical feature of classical art was its unity in any given period. Regional variations within the Greek world were generally slight, and the principles of proportion and Decoration were added color.

The postclassical period of Roman law (starting with Diocletian) is a period of exclusive imperial legislation which replaced the former inspiring and promoting sources of law. Praetors no longer issued edicts, nor was there any creative activity among the jurisprudents. The writings of the classical jurisprudents were exploited without any remarkable feature classical contribution from the living professional lawyers.

The fusion of the legal orders which previously existed parallelly (ius civile, ius praetorium, ius gentium), initiated in the late classical period, was now completed. Difficult problems arise when we attempt to separate the legal progress in specific questions during the 4th and 5th centuries from what the reformatory work of Justinian did. With regard to problems which were not explicitly solved by imperial enactments during the intervening period, as preserved in the Theodosian and Justinian Codes, research faces sometimes unsurmountable difficulties, the results remaining mostly hypothetical, more or less probable but rarely provable. Even fundamental problems are still controversial, despite the remarkable feature classical progress made in the Romanistic literature in recent times. One school of thought considers the postclassical and Justinian law a normal, natural, organic product, the roots of which lay in the classical law.
