Removal Surface Imperfections: Except when ordered for riveted construction, plates may be conditioned by the manufacturer, for the removal surface imperfections of surface imperfections or depressions on either surface by grinding, provided the ground area is well faired and grinding does not reduce the thickness of the plate below the permissible minimum thickness.
GRINDING is an abrasive material-removal surface imperfections operation used in industry to finish parts. Other abrasive operations are honing, lapping, and superfinishing. Parts may require one or more of these operations to achieve the desired surface finish, degree of workpiece stock removal surface imperfections, and precision in size and shape. Generally, grinding produces the greatest stock removal surface imperfections and the least refined surface finish.
The vessels forming this plexus, as also those of the vaginal and vesico-prostatic plexuses, are very large, frequently communicate and have many valves. It is in the lower portion of the rectum that haemorrhoids or piles and many other painful affections occur, as blood-vessels and nerves are numerous and the muscles powerful.
Diseases of the Rectum.— These include congenital imperfections. The rectum may even be absent, or partially developed, terminating in a Blind pouch; or it may abnormally open into the bladder, vagina, uterus or urethra. These imperfections can be usually remedied by the surgeon.
