Water Lilies Covered: Although a pool should receive plenty of light, direct sunlight will encourage the growth of algae which will turn the water lilies covered to "pea soup." However, you can counteract this by adding submerged and floating aquatics which consume the nutrients in the water lilies covered that the algae feed on. You can also starve algae of sunlight by shading the water lilies covered surface.
